As last years scheme winners, Guildford Coordinator Pete Lambert was invited to present about the Guildford Scheme and to talk about how it has grown over the years as well as the inclusion of all of the safety initiatives like Ask for Angela, Safe Places and Domestic Abuse Awareness.
**In the evening Pete was joined by Emma White and our scheme winners The Royal Oak for the National Awards night at the Houses of Parliament.**
Although we did not win the top prize this year we were still nominated for the 3rd year in a row which has shown consistency in the quality of our scheme.
**Pete Lambert quoted** _“This is a testament to all the hard work that the 39 accredited venues have put in over the year to make sure that they are not only a vibrant place to come but also safe and compliant with everything they do”._
**He added,** “_I am extremely proud of the scheme and the venues that have taken part this year to make Guildford one of the safest places to come for a night out and we hope that the scheme will get even bigger in 2025._
Special thanks to our Partners at Guildford Borough Council, Surrey Police, Surrey Fire and Rescue, Guildford Pubwatch and the Street Angels for their time they have put in to assist and also to my colleague Emma White who has done such an amazing job supporting me with the scheme”.
