Over the past week and a half, Guildford Business Crime Reduction Partnership has conducted 2 Blitz Day's in Guildford town centre.
The aim is to detect, deter and detain any person(s) that are causing our businesses harm through shop theft or Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB). Loss Prevention and undercover Surrey Police officers, supported by PCSO's and Town Rangers had a successful couple of days recovering over £2400 worth of stock, arresting 3 individuals and presenting 7 warning letters.
A known individual was also arrested for breach of CPN and many more offenders were deterred in the process.
All in all a fantastic couple of days with some tremendous results that sends a message to anyone chancing their luck in Guildford, our businesses are united and that we will catch you. This comes after a record breaking month in November where the BCRP venues recovered £19k from offenders.
Thank you to all of our partners involved.
Guildford BCRP operates a robust exclusion scheme. If you are intent on causing our businesses harm you could receive a ban of up to 5 years.
